ICS feeds and Exchange EWS
Understand read-only feeds and the separate Hosted Exchange pilot.

ICS feeds
Section titled “ICS feeds”An ICS subscription is a read-only source. Ridian can synchronize a permitted representation into a writable destination. The feed cannot receive event writes, and an ICS connection is not an interactive AI calendar.
A feed URL may itself be a secret. Do not paste private subscription URLs into public tickets, screenshots or chat transcripts. Update freshness depends on what the source publishes and when the feed is fetched; it is not a real-time booking confirmation.
Hosted Exchange through EWS
Section titled “Hosted Exchange through EWS”Hosted Exchange is a separate pilot path. A Microsoft 365 test account does not prove that a customer’s Hosted Exchange endpoint, authentication and calendar permissions work. The customer connects the actual authorized account in production; customer data does not belong in a staging test.
Agree the endpoint, permitted account and isolated calendar with the administrator. Do not assume modern Microsoft OAuth setup and an EWS/basic-auth configuration are interchangeable. The provider may disable the required authentication method.
Before committing to a workflow
Section titled “Before committing to a workflow”Verify connection, calendar discovery, the intended read/write rights and a synthetic event lifecycle for the actual server. Keep the pilot scope explicit. An EWS sync pilot does not automatically establish every MCP or REST capability. Contact support with server type and the failed operation, without credentials.
