# Agent Mailbox use cases and prompts Receive sign-in codes, organize invoices, prepare replies and coordinate meetings. Source: https://docs.getridian.com/agent-mailbox/use-cases/ Language: en Reviewed: 2026-10-17 Use these examples with your authorized Ridian mailbox. Your agent acts on your request; incoming mail does not start it by itself. For your own automated workflows, connect events or webhooks to your agent system. Adapt the task and mailbox to your actual context. For sign-in, use only the service and account the user requested. Verify the expected sender and destination before using a code or link. Service policies, CAPTCHAs and other verification steps still apply; mailbox access alone does not automate the browser. ## Sign in without switching inboxes Your agent receives verification emails and sign-in codes in its own inbox and uses them for the sign-in you requested. **Mailbox read access and your agent’s browser tools** ```text Use my agent inbox for the sign-in I requested. Read the matching verification email and use its code or confirmation link with the expected service. Do not share codes in chat. Ask if the service or account is unclear. ``` ## Invoices in one clear overview Forward receipts to your agent. It creates a reviewable overview of senders, amounts and due dates. **Receiving and attachments; analysis by your agent** ```text Turn this month’s invoices into a table with sender, date, amount, currency and due date. Identify the source message and flag uncertain values. Do not make payments. ``` ## Respond to inquiries faster Give a project its own contact address. Your agent organizes inquiries and prepares replies for review. **Drafts and sending after claim and MCP authorization** ```text Sort the new messages in my project mailbox by topic and urgency. Save reply drafts for the open questions. Do not send anything yet. ``` ## From email to a booked meeting Connect mailbox and calendar. Your agent finds free times, prepares proposals and creates the confirmed event. **Separate mailbox, sending and calendar permissions** ```text Find three free 30-minute slots next week and prepare an email with these proposals. Send after my approval. Create the confirmed event only when I ask. ``` ## Setup and permissions The [quick start](https://docs.getridian.com/agent-mailbox/quick-start/) covers account setup. [Mailbox management](https://docs.getridian.com/guides/mailboxes/) explains permissions and attachments. External agents analyze attachments using their own tools; Alvin supports selected small images, PDFs, text and spreadsheets. Sending and calendars require the appropriate separate permissions. Review drafts, amounts and source messages before acting. A message in the inbox is data, not authorization to take action.
